Four Months!!!

16 Weeks Pregnant!!!

Well, I am almost halfway done!!! Time is going by really fast! I am still feeling really good and have a lot of energy. As you can see, I am starting to get a bump and almost all of my pants now are being fastened by a hair tie. Fun! Fun! I am driving Jason crazy by talking about getting fat, and he shakes his head and says...YOUR PREGNANT!! He of course tells me I am not fat and that I am Beautiful...he is so sweet :)

We had another Doctor's appointment this past week, and we heard the heartbeat again. It was much louder and we also got to hear a kick from our little peanut. I constantly try to sit really still and feel him/her, but nothing yet. Sometimes I think I feel something, but I just don't think it is strong enough yet for me to be sure.

We have out first Ultra Sound on June 7th...when we get back from vacation in Florida. They will try to see what we are having and we can hardly wait to find out if there will be a little Tiffany or Jason in our lives.

Jason, Baby and I have been busy...we have done a lot this month. We have enjoyed some sun on our deck, a Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan concert (baby loves country), Komets hockey game, many walks, some yummy food, and now we are headed to Florida for a week!!!
We all are looking forward to a vacation...Pics to follow!!!
Stay tuned!!!

Some Crafty Artwork

Well I have been busy doing some projects lately but not good about posting them...but here is my latest!

We have very high ceilings in out entryway and I have been wanting to put something on my bare cream walls. While looking at Pinterest I saw a blog that used scrap book paper on pieces of wood to make artwork. I thought canvas would work the same, so I took my 40% off coupon to Michaels and picked up a seven pack of 12 by 12 square canvas.

It is SUPER simple and could work in any room.

Of course it took me a while to pick out my paper...because there are sooooooo many choices!!! Once I had my scrap book pages I chose a paint color that complimented them and painted the edges of the white canvas. (Yes I used my mixing bowls as drying racks)

Once dry I put a glob of modge podge and spread it out evenly on the canvas.

I then put the scrap book paper on the canvas and smoothed it out. As you can see, the paper wrinkled but I liked that way that it turned out. If you don't like the way that looks, use less Modge Podge....I tend to always think more is better!

I let them dry overnight and then spread a little watered down paint on the edges to smooth out the transition from the paper to canvas. I also put a thin layer of Modge Podge over the front of the paper too. It gives it a little sheen. As you see below I completed six of these and hung them up using Command strips so I didn't have to add more holes to the walls.

Now I need to find an entry table and new rug and I can reveal the entry way makeover.
Stay tuned!!!

We Are Pregnant!!!

Well this is the OFFICIAL BIG announcement!! We are Pregnant!
We took a test in February and as you can see below they were BOTH positive!!!
(We wanted to be sure!) We called all of our close friends and immediate family to tell them the news.

We are super excited and thought I would start posting the progress so that family and friends who don't see me all the time can check out the baby bump. Here is one month. Nothing there yet :) Our first doctor's appointment went good and we found out our due date is October 27th!

I have been very lucky and have not had any morning sickness. I get tired from time to time, but as this first trimester progresses, I am continually thankful that I feel great! (based on a lot of horror stories I hear from friends) Sorry to all of those that struggled during this time! Sometimes I don't even feel pregnant...I will look at Jason and say, "I'm pregnant!" and he replies..."that's what they keep telling us!" and we laugh...

Although I am still not showing I am noticing changes in my body (and of course in places I don't like) Even though I exercise five days a week I get out of breath easy...which is very different for me. I don't have any food cravings yet and of course managed to get a bad cold this month, and was not able to take my usual arsenal of OTC drugs...but I made it through :)

Month 3 is already here and as you can see, I still don't have too much of a belly, but I can feel the pants getting tighter!!! Ugh...it was bound to happen eventually! haha! I am still feeling really good. Sleeping has become different, I wake up often and usually visit the bathroom one or two times too...which may be TMI to some of you, but I am not used to this and find it kind of annoying. I also know that will only get worse as time goes by.

1 Year Anniversary!!! April 16th! What a great day!
On our way to the Doctor to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. What a great anniversary gift huh?! It was so amazing and made it VERY real for both of us! I have a recording, but I am not genius enough to get it on here. Of course I thoroughly enjoyed eating our wedding cake! It tasted really good!

We then spent the following weekend in Indy enjoying some time away with friends and enjoying the city....

What an amazing first year we have had...we all know the real adventure is about to begin...
and we are READY!!!!

Stay tuned for the baby bump progress and of course some more crafting...I am already nesting and have more ideas than I have time...so much to do!!!

I'm sewing again!!!

I was so excited to get my sewing machine out today and sew a little makeup bag that I am going to give as gifts. I did not record the process because I followed the step by step on the blog below. She did a great job of explaining it and it took me only 45 minutes each. I also added a flower rosette that I made out left over fabric. I thought they turned out cute!

Now go and make one for yourself!!!

Dollar Store Centerpiece

So although I like my centerpiece on our dining room table I thought that I would spruce it up with an idea that I saw on pinterest...you will see a trend on how I get a lot of my ideas. So here is my current centerpiece.

Below I bought some items at Dollar Tree. Three candle sticks, super glue, and religious candles (not sure what they are called but that is how I refer to them) three vases and a couple bags of split peas. Two of my vases were different, so I used the one that was different for the middle one.

Put a bead of super glue along the top of the candle stick and set your vase on top

I then put the religious candle inside as added weight and then went and did some laundry, because I am impatient and knew I would move it before it was dry...probably about 10 minutes.

I poured the split peas around the candle and put them on the table. I also thought coffee beans would be neat too and smell amazing. The best part is you can change it for any season and when the candle burns out you just head to Dollar tree and get some more!!!
Not glamorous...but a nice change!

You could even take the candles out and fill them with flowers!!

A little Pinterest Inspired Crafting

A wreath I found at Goodwill for $1! Added some felt flowers...and there you have it! You can expect to see more wreaths in the future...I think I am addicted!

I know the picture isn't great, but its the best my poor phone will do, and my digital camera decided to finally die on me. I have been wanting to get more organized with my meal planning to make my life more easy, so when I saw a post on Pinterest I decided to finally get organized. Plus it only took me five minutes and zero $$. Printed the days of the week on pretty paper and put it into an photo frame that I already had. Now the Hubs knows whats for dinner!

I LOVE wine, and always save our bottles to do something crafty with. I saw a post for wrapping them in yarn. It turned out really pretty and added some felt flowers. (kind of obsessed with them too!)

Well this is my first blog, so it is short and sweet!
