31 Weeks!!! Only 9 More Weeks To Go!

Well I cannot believe how fast time is going by!!! Only nine more weeks and our baby girl will be here! According to the average numbers, she weighs about 3.3 pounds and is 16 inches long. Needless to say I am feeling the stretch! I am still feeling amazingly great! I get a little more tired if I am on my feet for a long period of time and sometimes it is hard to get comfortable when I am trying to fall asleep due to her constant kicking. I love feeling her move all the time. It is a constant reminder that she is active and healthy. I am not a huge over eater, but I have noticed that I get fuller faster. Lets just face it, there is not enough room in there for everything like there used to be! Like her father (hehe), she is being a little stubborn and not turning like she should so we are praying she flips in the next upcoming weeks.

On another note...I could have titled this post "From the crazy mind of a pregnant woman!!!" My mind is constantly racing with ideas, thoughts, worries, and anticipation...and don't even get me started on the dreams I have at night! Most of the time I wake up and shake my head in disbelief...not sharing them with Jason, afraid he may think I have totally lost my mind! HA!

As delivery gets closer, my latest thoughts have been how amazing God is that he can create a human being in such a short amount of time, and with every kick I am reminded that she is getting bigger and bigger and she must come out! I have literally pondered how such an amazing and beautiful journey has to end with such gruesome and painful event (For her, Jason and mostly ME)...oh ya...that lovely lady named EVE!!! When my mind goes to this place I am reminded that God is watching over all of us and millions women have done this before me, and some of them much younger and wimpier than me! Ha! Thankfully I have done my best to stay in shape and the Doc says that will help a lot...and of course some pain meds :) I am not trying to be Super Woman in that delivery room! There are no Gold Medals waiting for me if I choose to go med free...so I am not opposed!

I have also been NESTING, NESTING, NESTING!!! I have organized almost every room in our house and I will be done with the babies room very soon! So stay tuned!!!

Jason has really been such a trooper through everything and prays for the baby constantly. He such a good provider, helper, listener to my constant ramblings, and tells me how beautiful I am...even though I feel like a blimp and wonder if I will ever look like me again! I was doing one of my ramblings the other night, telling him I am worried about him feeling overwhelmed and lack of sleep and how this adjustment is going to be hard on him, and he simply looked at me and said...all guys with kids go through it...I will be fine. Even though he has never changed a diaper, I am so blessed to have such a level headed husband who is realistic about things to come!

A couple months ago I told him I wanted him to pick out her going home outfit. He went to Carter all by himself and picked out something he loved...and I think it is totally adorable! I can only imagine how overwhelmed he was walking around that place! I love it! Notice it is NOT pink! haha! (I do have cute headband I got to go with it too)

My parents got the baby a onsie, socks, and a teddy bear! If you can't tell, Jason LOVED them!

This week I also turned 34! Yikes!!! Getting older is not fun, but I feel like life is just about to start in a new way for me! Jason and all our Rochester crew threw me a surprise birthday cookout and celebration and I had a blast. Jason spoiled me as well, with jewelry and Bath and Body goodies!

I am looking forward to this upcoming year....I am sure that it will go faster than this one!!!

SIx Months (About 28 Weeks)

Here I am at about six months! Only twelve weeks to go! Our baby girl is growing like crazy! She is already over 2 pounds and over 14 inches long.... and it shows! I am stretching and stretching! She moves all of the time and Jason has finally been able to feel her kick and even see her move through my tummy one night when she was very active. Amazingly enough I still feel really good! I have managed to stay on track with exercising 4-5 days a week, and I think that has helped me a lot.

I cannot believe how fast time is going by. When I think back six months ago it is amazing to me how our little girl has already changed me so much. My thoughts have gone from what will we do this weekend?...what kind of wine should I order with dinner?...where should we go on out next vacations? To now worrying about what kind of diapers should I buy? What kind of car seat should we get? Will I get stretch Marks? Can I make through delivery? Will I tear? What will she look like? Will she be healthy? What will it be like when we bring her home? Will we ever sleep normal again? ...and those are only a few of the thoughts that I have! HA!

Jason and I have had so much going on this past month...My grandma passed away, and I spent a weekend in Iowa laying her to rest. I now have a rocker in the nursery from her, and it means so much to me that there is a physical piece of her here with us. We have been working on the nursery and I will post pictures when it is all done. Two of our closest couple friends got married this past month, and it was so fun watching them on their happy day. Jason's Dad suffered a heart attack a couple weeks ago and by a miracle from God has pulled through and we have moved him back up to Indiana. He is doing much better and shows improvement everyday and we thank God he is still with us and continue to pray for further healing. Needless to say...we have been BUSY!!!

We now have twelve weeks to finalize plans for our baby girl and we are super excited! We are also looking forward to the THREE baby showers that are coming up in the next few month! Below are a few pics from Iowa and wedding we attended.

Stay tuned for the baby bump!!! It gets bigger everyday!

21 Weeks!! (5months)

Well I am a little behind in posting my baby bump...been a little busy :)
Well here I am at about 5 months pregnant!

As you can see I have popped out this month! I am sure it has nothing to do with all the yummy and indulgent food I had on vacation! Ha! Thankfully it is all in my belly....so far.

Besides a stuffy nose, I am still feeling really good, and I am very thankful. So much has happened this month! I can feel her move all the time and can't wait till Jason can feel her too. It amazes me how active she is! Have you noticed a trend in my wording?????
That's because we had our Ultra Sound and found out we are having a GIRL!!!!

Watching her move inside of me was so amazing! She is in great health and weighs almost a pound. They measured her and told me that I am actually 10 days further along than they had calculated, so now she is due October 18th. Definitely NOT having a Halloween baby now! That made me happy. Her little profile is so adorable isn't it!

Of course I had to go shopping for her the minute I found out! I was sensible though and went to a garage sale and got her 40 outfits for only $24! It was so fun and can't wait to see her in them!

She may only weigh a pound, but she is already changing the world around her!
I told Jason that every now and then I have a moment of "OH MY GOODNESS! Our lives are going to change forever!" I asked Jason if he ever has moments like that and he said "Only when I'm around you." HA! That is why I love him :)
Halfway there and can't wait!!!

Here are a few pictures from our vacation, it was so nice to relax for a whole week!

Four Months!!!

16 Weeks Pregnant!!!

Well, I am almost halfway done!!! Time is going by really fast! I am still feeling really good and have a lot of energy. As you can see, I am starting to get a bump and almost all of my pants now are being fastened by a hair tie. Fun! Fun! I am driving Jason crazy by talking about getting fat, and he shakes his head and says...YOUR PREGNANT!! He of course tells me I am not fat and that I am Beautiful...he is so sweet :)

We had another Doctor's appointment this past week, and we heard the heartbeat again. It was much louder and we also got to hear a kick from our little peanut. I constantly try to sit really still and feel him/her, but nothing yet. Sometimes I think I feel something, but I just don't think it is strong enough yet for me to be sure.

We have out first Ultra Sound on June 7th...when we get back from vacation in Florida. They will try to see what we are having and we can hardly wait to find out if there will be a little Tiffany or Jason in our lives.

Jason, Baby and I have been busy...we have done a lot this month. We have enjoyed some sun on our deck, a Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan concert (baby loves country), Komets hockey game, many walks, some yummy food, and now we are headed to Florida for a week!!!
We all are looking forward to a vacation...Pics to follow!!!
Stay tuned!!!

Some Crafty Artwork

Well I have been busy doing some projects lately but not good about posting them...but here is my latest!

We have very high ceilings in out entryway and I have been wanting to put something on my bare cream walls. While looking at Pinterest I saw a blog that used scrap book paper on pieces of wood to make artwork. I thought canvas would work the same, so I took my 40% off coupon to Michaels and picked up a seven pack of 12 by 12 square canvas.

It is SUPER simple and could work in any room.

Of course it took me a while to pick out my paper...because there are sooooooo many choices!!! Once I had my scrap book pages I chose a paint color that complimented them and painted the edges of the white canvas. (Yes I used my mixing bowls as drying racks)

Once dry I put a glob of modge podge and spread it out evenly on the canvas.

I then put the scrap book paper on the canvas and smoothed it out. As you can see, the paper wrinkled but I liked that way that it turned out. If you don't like the way that looks, use less Modge Podge....I tend to always think more is better!

I let them dry overnight and then spread a little watered down paint on the edges to smooth out the transition from the paper to canvas. I also put a thin layer of Modge Podge over the front of the paper too. It gives it a little sheen. As you see below I completed six of these and hung them up using Command strips so I didn't have to add more holes to the walls.

Now I need to find an entry table and new rug and I can reveal the entry way makeover.
Stay tuned!!!

We Are Pregnant!!!

Well this is the OFFICIAL BIG announcement!! We are Pregnant!
We took a test in February and as you can see below they were BOTH positive!!!
(We wanted to be sure!) We called all of our close friends and immediate family to tell them the news.

We are super excited and thought I would start posting the progress so that family and friends who don't see me all the time can check out the baby bump. Here is one month. Nothing there yet :) Our first doctor's appointment went good and we found out our due date is October 27th!

I have been very lucky and have not had any morning sickness. I get tired from time to time, but as this first trimester progresses, I am continually thankful that I feel great! (based on a lot of horror stories I hear from friends) Sorry to all of those that struggled during this time! Sometimes I don't even feel pregnant...I will look at Jason and say, "I'm pregnant!" and he replies..."that's what they keep telling us!" and we laugh...

Although I am still not showing I am noticing changes in my body (and of course in places I don't like) Even though I exercise five days a week I get out of breath easy...which is very different for me. I don't have any food cravings yet and of course managed to get a bad cold this month, and was not able to take my usual arsenal of OTC drugs...but I made it through :)

Month 3 is already here and as you can see, I still don't have too much of a belly, but I can feel the pants getting tighter!!! Ugh...it was bound to happen eventually! haha! I am still feeling really good. Sleeping has become different, I wake up often and usually visit the bathroom one or two times too...which may be TMI to some of you, but I am not used to this and find it kind of annoying. I also know that will only get worse as time goes by.

1 Year Anniversary!!! April 16th! What a great day!
On our way to the Doctor to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. What a great anniversary gift huh?! It was so amazing and made it VERY real for both of us! I have a recording, but I am not genius enough to get it on here. Of course I thoroughly enjoyed eating our wedding cake! It tasted really good!

We then spent the following weekend in Indy enjoying some time away with friends and enjoying the city....

What an amazing first year we have had...we all know the real adventure is about to begin...
and we are READY!!!!

Stay tuned for the baby bump progress and of course some more crafting...I am already nesting and have more ideas than I have time...so much to do!!!

I'm sewing again!!!

I was so excited to get my sewing machine out today and sew a little makeup bag that I am going to give as gifts. I did not record the process because I followed the step by step on the blog below. She did a great job of explaining it and it took me only 45 minutes each. I also added a flower rosette that I made out left over fabric. I thought they turned out cute!

Now go and make one for yourself!!!
